Interested in work from home typing jobs? I was in the same position as you just a few months ago and after spending a fairly large amount of time and money I've realized a few things about the data entry industry. I've written this article to educate people who are curious about work from home typing jobs about the dangers and challenges you will face if you decide to follow this path.

1. Scams:

There are an incredible amount of scams that are taking advantage of people looking for work from home typing jobs. I'll give you a few key elements that will help you decipher the real jobs from the scams.

Scam sites will most often have pictures that reflect huge amounts of wealth. For example, pictures of luxury cars, houses, boats etc. Real work form home typing jobs will not look like this. they will be very professional looking, with pictures that only reflect the nature of the job and if anything the sites will look a little bit boring, just like the real job itself.
Alot of the scam websites will give you access to these sites and claim that they will be able to give you jobs with no competition. DO NOT believe this, you can find this information for free if you spend a little time on google.

2. Competition:

There are millions of people all over the world looking for work at home jobs. Because of this there is of course an enormous amount of competition. This means unfortunately for us that most of the best paying jobs will be taken. Of course there are the freelance sites like elance.com that allows people to bid on work they would like to do. The bad thing about this is that people from India (this country has the biggest amount of people looking for data entry services) are willing to do the same work for a much lower price.

3. Workload

People often mistake work form home typing jobs to be easy and require little work. This isn't true. You will have to be prepared to work for at least 3/4 hours a day to make some money and even with this you probably won't be making very much. To be able to compete this work will require concentration and focus, many people complain about the stress and exhaustion of sitting and typing for hours on end every day. Honestly these "work from home typing jobs" become like real jobs, but at least you get to do it at home right?

I would recommend taking breaks every hour by getting away from you workspace/computer and doing something else. Another good idea would be to get an ergonomically designed keyboard or mouse to prevent things like carpal tunnel syndrome.

I hope this has enlightened at least a few of the people looking for work from home typing jobs by showing that it's not exactly what it seems. Of course you can make money but nothing comes easily.
