The girls who trailed the Jonas Brothers last year during their 2007 jaunt are back in the States promoting their latest set, Hook Me Up. The first headlining stint for Aussie twins The Veronicas, the girls are making the rounds via "Revenge is Sweeter." The duo are still reeling off their first platinum selling single, "Untouched," and recently released "Take Me on the Floor" as more critical acclaim comes their way; the second single from their Sire Records release, the girls' set has already seen 1.2 million downloads and remained at the Billboard Top Ten Heatseekers, among other charts. The Veronicas hail from Brisbane, Australia and are made up of twin sisters Lisa and Jess Origliasso. Taking music adventures at an early age, the teens Lisa & Jessica, as they were deemed, recorded three teen pop albums before they landed a spot on the children's series Cybergirl and started focusing on their songwriting techniques. They followed it up with the rock group Teal before they made an appearance at Australian Idol and eventually to the Warner Bros - associated label Sire deal by their 20th birthday. The Secret Life Of...was released in 2006 followed by Hook Me Up in 2007.
