Fathers day can be celebrated in many ways. Almost every culture all over the world has a form of celebrating it, although not necessarily at the same day. However, not all of these celebrations are equal. Some have a more religious meaning, others a more social meaning. Some consider it a more unique celebration and significant celebration than in other cultures.

In Korea, for example, they don't have a Mother's Day independent from the Fathers Day, they only have a Parent's Day. That means they can't plan fathers day with the mother or mothers day with the father! The Koreans have also a Children's Day, when it's the turn of parents to buy presents for the children and take them out on recreational trips.

In Russia and in other former Soviet Union regions, the Fathers Day is better known as the Day of the Defender of the Fatherland. It is originally a way of remembering the World War II and it is a national holiday. Nowadays it has become a common holiday that celebrates men, more or less like the International Women's Day. You buy gifts for your father, boyfriend, or husband and other men important to you on this special day dedicated to men.

In other parts of the world, such as Denmark, Fathers Day is a national holiday. It is also their Constitution Day. Which gives all fathers the opportunity to spend the day with their children, what makes the day a much more relevant occasion than in other countries where fathers have to go to work unless the day falls on a Saturday or Sunday.

In every country where fathers day is celebrated it is customary for children, irrespective of their age, to buy a gift for their father. Finding a unique gift can be difficult, however there are both recreational and relaxing experiences which have been specifically designed with men in mind to help you!

Polo is not your everyday game. It consists of hitting a very small ball with a stick while on the back of horse going way to fast for comfort! Yet it is an exhilarating sport of action and daring. Why not treat a father who loves a challenge to find out exactly what it is like?

A polo introduction course offers complete guidance on how to play the game. If your dad has no horse riding experience he will first be taught basic riding skills necessary for the game. Then he will be taught the theory of polo and the basic rules of the sport, before going out to practice.

Here he will try hitting the ball, hooking and riding off. The polo ponies used are very well trained, so your dad won't have to worry about falling of or losing control of the horse. Skilled instructors are available at all times to ensure safety of your dad!

If your dad is an experienced rider there are also possibilities for more interactive games to be had. The polo experience day will pitch your dad against other players in a real polo game, where the winner will keep all the glory and the losers walk home!

If you are lost for fathers day present ideas perhaps these are some to consider this year to make your dad feel very special?
