Each person has their own individual taste and it is generally reflected in the types of invitations and announcements they choose to send out.
The difference between invitations and announcements are sometimes blurred and that can be confusing to people. An invitation offers information about an event that will be taking place and that the person is invited to. An announcement is designed to tell someone about something that is going on. For example you may get a graduation announcement but that doesn’t mean you are invited to the actual graduation. You should send them with a confirmation that they got read though. This way you can call those people that may have your invitation or announcement in their junk mail box.
