Menus
One of the most common locations where you will find menus is at a restaurant. This is a list of the food items, drinks, and desserts that they offer at that particular location. You will also be able to see the prices of the items they offer. Even if you frequent a restaurant often you may not be familiar with all of the menus on the list because you always order the same thing.
Many office workers like the convenience of being able to order our from various restaurants in town. Pick up a menu from the different restaurants so they can order ahead and have their lunch ready when they arrive. Most restaurants will be very willing to provide you with a menu because it will generate more business for them.
Restaurant owners need to take the time to make sure their menus are in good condition. Laminating them is more expensive but they will last much longer because paper menus can get torn or food stains on them. Laminated menus can easily be wiped off. It looks unprofessional when menu items are crossed out or prices are changed by hand. Be careful with spelling errors on them as well.
Catering services are very common when you want to host a party for a wedding, anniversary, graduation, birthday, or other special occasion. Most catering services offer a menu so you can select the foods you want to serve at your event. The prices are generally based on the number of people that you want to serve with a sit down meal and the items you want offered.
Many catering services also offer buffet selections where your guests will be able to serve themselves. In this type of situation the cost will be for the amount of food that you will need. The catering service can help you determine approximately how much food you will need so that you don’t run short or have too much of it left over.
Planning your own menus at home can help ensure you are serving foods that are nutritious as well as delicious. It can also help you reduce the number of trips to the store because you can make a grocery list based on your menu. To add some variety ask each family member to pick a few meals they really enjoy so everyone will be happy at dinner time.
