Free polls are the latest trend of knowing public opinion. This category of polls will yield a controlled and simple response which does not require any special summarization other than the number of votes. Although gathering public opinion is the primary target, increasing the popularity of the pollster is also an important goal.
These are called free polls because only those who are interested can participate. These polls have gained popularity in the information age. Mobile networks with SMS facility and the internet gave the polls a very big push. You can be visiting a website and then a poll will pop up on the screen for you to take part in. If you decide you don’t want to, simple close the box.
Any one who is interested can participate without sharing any personal information. Many people choose to complete free polls because they love the idea of being able to express their own opinion. They often give the person three or four choices to choose form. Once you cast your vote you will be eager to know whether public opinion is with you or not. So you will follow that particular T.V. Channel or web site. That increases their number of hits and it often results in more sales for them as well. Therefore, free polls has become a new way of internet advertising.
This is why some of the various websites ask you to create an account so you can log in. They may just want your e-mail address so they can send you promotional items. They often get this by telling you register it so they know each person is only taking the poll once. Of course if you have more than one e-mail address you can vote again if you desire.
If you like to take part in such polls but don’t like all the mail that fills up your inbox afterwards you can be creative. Use one of the free e-mail sites and set up an account. Use this account only for such instances so that they can send all the junk to it that they want and it isn’t going to interfere with what you want to receive in your e-mail.
