Finding a holiday destination that suits the whole family can be difficult. A trip to Florida could provide everyone with an exciting and enjoyable break and there’s certainly no shortage of attractions.

Fly to Florida for Fun in the Sun
Florida and Orlando in particular have become synonymous with great family holidays. There are so many attractions and theme parks to keep everyone amused, you’re sure to have a memorable time in the Sunshine State. From Walt Disney World to Kennedy Space Centre and Seaworld there exists a wide range of exciting rides, adventure and most of all, fun to be had; with 40 million visitors every year the popularity shows no sign of slowing down. So what are the unmissable parks and rides when you’re looking for the best Florida has to offer?

Theme parks just wouldn’t be theme parks without a rollercoaster to ride. At Universal Studios Islands of Adventure, the Incredible Hulk rollercoaster certainly lives up to its name - and then some! Reaching speeds of almost 70mph at a height of 110 feet this monstrous piece of machinery can even accelerate uphill at 40mph which defies logic and belief.

While Seaworld boasts impressive rollercoaster rides of its own, it also offers an amazing look at all things aquatic and if you want to witness something truly spectacular then a visit to ‘Believe’ will probably leave you scratching your head as to how it was possible. Watch as killer whales move majestically in time to music composed by the Prague National Symphony Orchestra. It’s certainly unique and very entertaining and also something which can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

At the Kennedy Space Centre Visitor Complex you can get a true insight into what life as an astronaut is really like by speaking to one. So if there’s something you’ve always wanted to know about outer space, this gives you an opportunity to ask someone who really knows. They’ll also talk you through their own particular mission, share stories and video footage of what it’s like to leave the planet and come back down to Earth again.

Of course Florida is also home to the magical Walt Disney World Resort which has 4 theme parks, 2 water parks and an amazing 23 themed hotels, and there are an unbelievable amount of activities contained within it. It’s almost impossible to pick out any particular highlight but Expedition Everest is a remarkable ride through the Himalayas, but watch out for the Yeti!

The only way to really appreciate the sheer scale of things to do in Florida is to go there and experience them for yourself. Such is this area’s massive appeal that flights to Orlando are popular all year round from almost every major city in the world. However, one trip to Orlando will probably not be enough to see and do everything you want to and with the opening of the new Harry Potter Theme Park in 2009, there will be even more to appreciate.
