If you have a home and you have running water, there are basically two ways that you could get the water. The first way is that your town or city will supply the water for you via pipes. Once you do that, you may need to pay for the water usage. Depending on where you live and how accessible the water is, you could pay a lot or a little. And some places may not even need you to pay to use the water. It all depends on the situation. The other option is that you could get running water from a well. Water that is taken from the earth via a pump and piped into your house is a fairly old fashioned method. Well water, however, is easily accessible in a lot of the country. If your water is unsafe, has a strange smell, or stains things you will definitely need to get it treated. Depending on your situation this could get expensive.

Well water is a great thing. It allows you to use the water on your property. In some parts of the country, this is a great way to make sure that the water reserves do not get depleted. Well water is a very positive thing.
