Water is everywhere. Human beings are made of water. When it rains, snows, sleets, or heals – that is also water. We drink it to help us be healthy. We need it more when we exercise because we perspire some of the water out of our body. In fact, we can’t function without it. It is also a form of recreation. People go in pools filled with water. They play in the ocean and swim at the lake. There are so many different uses with water, it is often hard to imagine what the planet would be like without it. In fact, most of the planet is covered with water. Water is ingrained in our culture so deeply that we often take it for granted.
The fact is, our water supply is in trouble. There is pollution. We use it too quickly. A lot of us waste water. Some of our water is unhealthy. With all of these problems, it is a wonder that we even have enough left to drink, shower with, and cook with. But there is still enough. Water is healing, and the water itself can get healed with a little love and care. For example, if water isn’t entirely drinkable from the source you got it from, there are ways to treat it and drink it to make sure that it is drinkable. For example, if you are camping and run out of water, you can take some from the stream and treat it so that it is drinkable by either dissolving an iodine tablet into it or boiling it for a certain period of time. However, before you do anything like that, make sure you read up on how to do it properly. Untreated water can be very dangerous.
If you exercise a lot or if the exercise you choose to do is pretty strenuous, you will need to make sure you replace the water that you lose in your sweat. This is important. But be careful not to drink too much. That can also be dangerous because it can dilute the electrolytes that are in your body. You may need to drink sports drink which has water, carbohydrates, and electrolytes. There are a lot of commercial options for fitness water as well. These have flavors, vitamins, minerals, and other things that are good for you. Sports drink may be too much for the average exerciser.
You can also bathe in water by filling up the bathtub or taking a shower. Or if you are outdoors you can swim in it. Water also makes our plants green and strong.
