Couples planning to get married who are stuck for an idea about what gifts to hand out to their guests should consider supplying edible wedding favors. Wedding guests do not mind if the wedding favors are sweet or not. Almost everyone appreciates a bar of chocolate and they will appreciate it more if it has a wrapper designed for the occasion. Filled chocolate whether white, plain or milk will always be a favorite but you can improve on this by having a peanut or almond center. Not only can the bride and groom have the wedding details printed on the candy wrapper but a special loving message can also be placed on there.

There is nothing wrong with adding a photo of the couple as well to finish off the gift to ensure it is something the guests will probably keep too remind them of the day. Of course, tins containing candy are always another option as an edible wedding favor that couples can consider if they do not want to use chocolate candy bars. By having the date, time and location of the wedding on the candy tin it makes it something that the guest will want to keep. It is doubtful that the candy will remain uneaten before the end of the day but the tins are always useful afterwards; they are useful for all sorts of storage from holding small items to storing fishing flies. Even people that don't often eat candy will tuck in when it is an edible wedding favor because they get drawn into the occasion.

One option that is growing in popularity is the use of large glass bowls containing the bride and grooms own favorite types of candy. Otherwise a small container, which can be themed if appropriate, can be used instead. The bride and grooms guests can then use the containers to put in any candy they like to take away when they leave. Just to be different you could decide to use cookies instead of candy for your edible wedding favors; there is plenty of variety here as well. By using plain cookies, it is easy to present them in a nice box with the bride and grooms names plus the date and location of the wedding.

Why not place an image of the happy couple with the wedding details directly onto the face of the cookie to add a finishing touch. There are many bakeries that can make these cookies for you in a variety of sizes and shapes; you just simply need to select a design and give the bakery a photo to use in the design process. Another category of edible wedding favors (although not strictly food) are beverages like tea, flavored coffees or cocoa for example. There are now many specialty brands which many people would like to try but are often afraid too and as with the other favors, there is no reason not to have special presentation boxes made up for the day. Just like the previous ideas, personalizing the package with the bride and grooms picture just completes the gift. With a little bit of imagination it is surprising how effective even simple ideas can be.
