There are many reasons you should organize your scrapbooking materials. The biggest reason for myself is of course saving myself from frustration. Nothing makes me more upset then having a creative idea pop into my head only to search and search and find nothing. It wastes time, and can even waste you money, if it just so happens you end up on not finding what it was you were looking for in the first place. There are many materials in your arsenal of scrapbooking, and keeping them organized is important. In this article, I try and list the most important things you should consider first, then work my way down to the semi important things.

I would recommend that you keep all your basic supplies together, such as your glue and scissors and the like. This stuff is pretty common and a lot easier to replace then something that is unique, but yet it still needs to be neatly organized. Another benefit of keeping all your supplies organized is that it will save you from buying things you dont really need. Before you take that trip down to your local craft store, take a quick inventory of what you have, and what you need. Imagine trying to do that if all you scrapbooking stuff was a complete mess.

Another aspect of scrapbooking is the paper you use. It can be as equally important to keep track of your paper as well, for many of the same reasons listed above. But because it is paper, you just cant simply put it wherever. You're gonna want to get dividers, so that you can seperate the different types and styles of paper you will be getting. If you dont do this, you will more then likely end up with damaged or wrinkled up paper, which will not look good in your scrapbook. So not only will keeping your scrapbooking papers organized save you time, but it will also save you from having to replace your paper all the time.

Scrapbook organization is a very important part of your scrapbooking hobby. Like I said before, it can be pretty frustrating trying to find something in a jumbled up mess. The longer you go unorganized, the harder it will be to get oganized. Once you get your organization complete, it really isnt all that hard to stay organized. Just dont let it get out of hand though. Organizing your scrapbook materials is both a time saver and a money saver, which both of those things are hard to come by these days.
