Love is a many-splendored thing - the entire world is a many-splendored thing, actually, and it only improves when you are exploring it with someone that completes you. Romantic travel should challenge your idea about the world, yet allow you to relax at the same time - which makes luxury hotels in Macau an ideal destination for romantic travel! This extraordinary location is a beautiful blend of European and Asian culture.
Portuguese heritage is still very much alive in the city after the very recent handover to China (in 1999), and the sensation of being in this busy, thriving city can only bring you closer together. One area where you'd much rather feel comfortable, safe, and totally pampered, though, is your accommodation. Here we look at the most romantic spots to spend a vacation in Macau.
If romance is your aim, look for a luxury Macau hotel that has all the bells and whistles, and really makes you both feel cared for. Concierge services save you both struggling with heavy bags (not romantic!), room service is a must, as you'll want to stay in bed(!), a decadent hotel spa and high quality furnishings ensure you can relax. Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16 has all of the above, which you can get in a package like the Air of Romance pack, with late checkout, chocolates and champagne, and all the special treatment.
Room service is available at Sofitel Macau 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so no matter what time you feel like a batch of pancakes, there's someone to cook them for you! The hotel spa and wellness center has some deliciously named treatments, giving you sweet or spicy skin, searing senses, and utter relaxation. One of the unique and very relaxing aspects of the luxury Macau hotel is the library. If you are a quieter, more introspective couple, this provides a great leisure option right on site.
The Wynn Macau is another romantic choice for Macau travellers. You won't be needing one of this luxury Macau hotel's two-bedroom suites, but you may well enjoy the deluxe room - exclusive Desert Bambu bath amenities are provided for your bubble-bathing pleasure, and you can relax together in Egyptian cotton sheets.
The Grand Deluxe room has very little to distinguish it from the less expensive Deluxe Rooms, other than access to the Wynn Club for exclusive entertainment and a VIP check in. This hotel, like the Sofitel Macau, has high speed internet, and while the high quality furnishings are a little more generic in style, they are no less comfortable.
The Sintra is a cozy, romantic luxury Macau hotel, closer to the moderate price range. While there is no swimming pool or fitness center, it is close to one of the most famous casinos in a country famed for exciting gaming - the Hotel Lisboa's casino. The restaurant is open twenty-four hours at the Sintra - if you like to feel that this busy city has become quite a private place for the two of you, come down for dinner at 1:00 in the morning.
