Would you like to become an actor, but feel so much negativity coming from your family members or friends?

Would you like to become an actor, but feel so much negativity coming from your family members or friends? Usually, this negativity comes because they think they know everything and think that it is a waste of time trying for something that will never happen. They think that there is too much competition and the industry is too hard to break into.

Sadly, this myth does one of two things for the individuals wanting to pursue a career in acting. It will either discourage the individual to the point that they don't even want to try at all, or two, it will fill this persons mind with so much negativity and doubt that they will struggle to make things happen for them.

It is true that if you believe you can do anything, you probably can. One of the biggest steps a person can take to accomplishing a task, in this case, becoming a successful actor, is simply getting the idea out of your head that you can't do it. To be completely honest, there is a place for just about anyone in the acting business, it just takes a lot of hard work and dedication.

One of the biggest reasons why actors don't make it in the industry, is not lack of experience, or lack acting knowledge, it is because they have no idea what to expect when it comes to the business side of things. This is vital to anyone who wants to be an actor. You see, many colleges or schools of acting just teach people how to become better actors. They spend little or no time on how to find work in the acting industry or how to actually make a good living being an actor.

If you are a parent, or a close friend or relative of a person wanting to become an actor, instead of tearing them down and discouraging them, you can simply encourage them to learn as much as possible about acting in general and about the business side of that business. If they still want to pursue a career in the acting industry after they see all sides of their choice, then they can probably make it in the industry.

Another thing that sometimes discourages actors from entering the industry is the idea that there is way too much competition. Think about it, isn't there competition in just about any industry? There is competition, but definitely not as much as other professions.

I really hope that this helps anyone interested in pursuing a career in the acting industry.
