Even though Social
Media may not play a detrimental role in your primary

strategy, it doesn’t mean that the right message shouldn’t be intelligently
thought out and implemented. You shouldn’t launch into any new channel,
especially Social Media sites like Facebook and Twitter, without a strategy for
something to say that is relevant and engaging. Social Media is the most
efficient and logical way to allow a company’s personality to push through to
its audience and extend its reach.

Twitter are not in your cards just yet, you may consider using a blog as the
preliminary step to online socializing. The same rules should apply to blogging
as they do to Social Media. If you blog for blog-sake and lack a clear message,
then you will lose more customers than you think. If you want your company to
start blogging, choose a few thought leaders to establish a communication
foundation before handing the reigns over.
