With the world waking up to the fact that SEO is a good business decision, companies are scrambling for SEO service. The problem is that with a quick flood of demand, there is usually a wave of low-quality knock offs. Too many “SEO companies” are out there providing services that they don’t understand. These providers are only interested in their bottom line and not the services you pay for. They don’t care if they really help you, they just want your money in their bank account. If there is one SEO trend to actually avoid, it’s jumping on the bandwagon before seeing if it has wheels. Screen your SEO provider, ask for references and look at their track record. Ask for sample stats, or other work samples. Ask for whatever you can, and if they can’t or won’t provide it, then walk away and don’t look back. Any for-real company will be happy to share their  successes with you. It’s like being able to brag without looking like a jerk. Who wouldn’t want to show you the good things they’ve accomplished? Just keep in mind that you are a customer buying services online, and like all e-transactions, scammers are waiting for you. Be careful and look before you leap.
