Up until last week there was no centralized piece of software for organizing and managing our search engine optimization projects. We used a task sheet, which worked out fairly well, but tended to be awkward because of all of the sheets of paper and folders.
Last week we decided to implement Basecamp, a project management tool. So far, it has been a great addition. We have been using it to track progress for our campaigns and coordinating tasks between parties.
The Writeboard is perhaps the most interesting tool. It allows our writers to collaborate with our clients on their web content - similar to Google Documents but more advanced. I haven’t seen too much usage from our clients thus far, but it will be very interesting to see what happens over the next few weeks as we have meetings and schedule tutorials to discuss the software.
