If you are looking for the challenge of a lifetime, how about a race with a team of dogs across the frozen land of Alaska? This is what men and women do who participate in the Iditarod. The race is more than 1,100 miles that they travel with their trusted team of dogs. Both the musher and the teams of dogs have to train all year long in order to be ready for this race. The area that is covered in the race is full of sharp turns, steep twists, and hills covered with ice. While some of the area to cover is wide open, the participants must be physically and mentally ready for the challenge.
