The semiconductor light-emitting diode, more common known as the LED, has become an integral part of modern households. Most of us have numerous little lights, brought to us by LEDs, glowing in nearly every room; we also enjoy longer lasting, more energy efficient light bulbs. What most people don't know, however, is that LED was discovered over 100 years ago!
